In an effort to give back to the members of the Virginia Chapter of NENA, the Executive Board has created the Virginia Chapter of NENA Professional Development Scholarship program. The program was developed to allow eligible applicants to attend the Center Manager Certification Program (CMCP) at the location of their choice.
- Applicant has not previously utilized the Professional Development Scholarship Program in the past three calendar years.
- Applicant must be a Virginia Chapter of NENA member in good standing.
- Applicant must be employed on a full-time basis by a public safety agency within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Three successful applicants annually will receive a maximum total award of $1,000 (will not include travel or hotel cost).
The Executive Board will be offering up to three scholarships per calendar year. The Executive Board will make a formal award announcement at the Fall APCO/NENA/Interoperability Conference in Roanoke.
Applications Due by 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2016
Submit completed applications to email@example.com, with “Professional Development Scholarship Application” as the subject line.
Send completed applications to Funds will be available beginning January 1 and must be utilized by the end of the calendar year. The scholarship shall require that all awardees receive employer approval to expend funds; should an awardee not attend a course which has been paid for, the attendee’s agency shall be responsible for reimbursing the chapter directly.
