E-911 Operations Administrator

Bedford County’s Department of E-911 Communications is seeking to fill the full time position of Operations Administrator.  This position will begin January 1, 2018.  Candidate shall perform difficult technical / administrative work providing support to E-911 Center in overall maintenance / management of data, operations, and personnel.  As CAD administrator ensures complete use / functionality of CAD system.  Develops, updates, and analyzes operating policies / procedures.  Establishes / implements procedures to support the county’s emergency services performance data needs.

Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field required.  Minimum of three years technical experience with E-911 and Computer Aided Dispatch systems or similar database and operational management.  Knowledge of computer networks/ systems, database management, and E-911 infrastructure.  Knowledge of Public Safety reporting / management.  Ability to analyze difficult or complex situations and take effective action.  Ability to work effectively in a highly active, multitasked environment.
